When this client reached out, her home office and storage areas had become a source of daily frustration. The clutter was overwhelming, and she felt paralyzed, unsure of where to start. Between piles of paperwork, scattered books, and miscellaneous items crammed into the closet and shelves, the space had turned into a chaotic catchall zone rather than a functional, productive environment.

I began by working closely with the client to identify what she truly needed to keep, what no longer served her, and what could be donated or discarded. Together, we sorted everything into categories, making it easier to see what she had and where it should go.

Once we decluttered, we minimized her belongings and introduced systems that made sense for her lifestyle. Books were organized neatly on shelves, important papers found a home in labeled folders, and office supplies were stored in easy-to-access containers. The desk was cleared and turned into an inspiring, clutter-free workspace. For her storage shelves, we implemented labeled bins and containers to create clear zones, ensuring everything had a place and could be found easily.

By the end, the transformation was undeniable. The client shared that she felt a huge sense of relief and lightness, like a weight had been lifted. Most memorably, she told me she wouldn’t have been able to host her family over the holidays without the work we did together. Creating a space that not only functions well but also feels good emotionally is what Ready Set Declutter is all about.
